Who is Hendrik Wuyts? The visionary mind behind Scuba Vision is Hendrik Wuyts, a Belgian who came to Bonaire in 1993. Scuba Vision was the result of decades of training in film and video techniques including lessons at the world renowned Antwerp School of the Arts. Hendrik continued his education through projects all over the world, including Negril, Cairns, Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Egypt, Malaysia, and Sipadan. His favorites, by far, included working with Max Hammer filming the wrecks of Papua, New Guinea, promotional production for the Wakatobi resort in Sulawesi, Masai in Kenya, the famous frogs of Lake Titicaca, Peru, and working with the Smithsonian Institution filming "Carrie Cow Bay" in Belize. His most exciting upcoming project is created from documenting the "Minority Peoples" of Vietnam and Laos. Hendrik feels privileged to have seen and filmed an incredible amount of wildlife, whether it be topside or underwater. The footage he has accumulated is broad and diverse.
